Prayer is our greatest and most neglected resource.  Prayer touches the heart
of God and releases His presence in power in our lives.  It is the key to everything
we do as individual believers and corporately as a church body.  Jesus said:  “‘It is written,’ he said to them, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer.’” (Matt. 21:13)

Let’s make it so!  I want to challenge you to consider coming 10 -15 minutes prior
to the services and pray at the altar for the presence and power of God to flow in
our worship services.  Pray that the Spirit of God will move in every aspect of our worship—for Pastor Derek to be anointed as he leads us in worship, for the praise
team and musicians, for my preaching, for the altar time, for the lost to be saved,
and for people to renew and recommit their lives to the
Lord.  Pray against the
demonic realm, and that the Spirit of God may bring deliverance and transformation
in people’s lives.  Pray for people who need to be
refreshed and encouraged to receive
a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit.

I am convinced that it will be the prayers of God’s people lifted up prior to our services that will usher in the presence and power of God.  He is not impressed with our facilities or technology, but it
does
get His attention when we begin to pray.  You
can come to the altar and pray alone, with two or three others, with a small group,
or however the Lord leads.  The important thing is that we begin taking some time before our worship services and praying for the anointing of God to rest in our midst
as we worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

Every significant move of the Spirit of God through the centuries was birthed in
prayer.  Genuine revival will not come until His people are willing to take the time
and pray and seek His face.  What about getting together with a few people and
begin praying for our services?  Again, it may be two or three people, a small group
of five to six, or you alone kneeling and interceding for our services.  I just feel that
prayer is the key to unlocking the heavens above to bring about a greater dimension
of the presence of God in our midst.

Think of it—it can begin with you!  Let’s begin praying
