Derek is our Music and Worship Pastor at The Tabernacle. He has been
on staff since January ’06. Derek has been in full-time ministry for the past
13 years, serving at Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly (Ontario, Canada) and Cathedral In the Pines (Beaumont, TX).

Derek oversees all aspects of our Music Department which includes our Choir, Band, Worship Teams, and Media ministry. His desire is to see God’s Glory revealed “on earth as it is in Heaven” and for everyone to experience intimacy with their Heavenly Father through a lifestyle of worship.

 

Derek is joyfully married to Heather, his wife of 12 years. They have 4
wonderful children ranging in age from 1½ to 12.

 

In his “spare” time, Derek enjoys reading and playing golf. He is an avid
baseball fan and unabashedly cheers for the Boston Red Sox.

Oh, and he boasts of his Canadian citizenship, too.
But we won’t hold that against him, eh?

                                  The Choir will sing every Sunday but in alternating Services.
