PowerHouse Kids Church

PowerHouse is our weekly Children’s Church service. PowerHouse is from 10:15 AM until the end of the adult service. We provide a clean and safe environment, conducive to learning and fun for children.

We begin weekly with playtime in our play zone gym. We have various bounce houses and games for the kids as they come into our area. We follow playtime with a time of worship in our Children’s Center. We sing, listen to a Bible story, learn a Bible verse and during our Call to Action we learn how the Bible story we learned is relevant to our daily walk with Christ. All our lessons emphasize a “Whatchagattaknow” theme which highlights a spiritual truth that they will be able to apply to all they learn on a weekly basis.

All our adult volunteers are background checked and have a real understanding of the value of children and the importance of reaching them at an early age with the good news of the Gospel.

Sunday School Class

Our Sunday school class begins at 9 AM every Sunday in the Children’s Center at The Family Life Center of our church. Children have the option of having cereal with milk breakfast with us. We use The Gospel Project curriculum. The Gospel Project takes kids on a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. Kids will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. When kids truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed. It is the gospel, not good behavior, that changes everything.

Wednesday Night Programs

Girls Ministry

Girls Ministry is a church-based discipleship program that has a legacy of godly women coming alongside girls, guiding them on a path to become mature and godly women. Our goal is simple: To see every girl moving towards a deep relationship with Jesus Christ, and to realize her importance and potential in the kingdom of God.

Girls Ministry Clubs take place every Wednesday night throughout the school year from 6:45-8:30 PM at the Family Life Center.

Preschool 3 & up: Rainbows launches little hearts into the exciting journey of discovering God and His great love. Noah’s Ark provides an exciting theme for the Bible stories, crafts, full-color activity pages, and games for this preschool club.

Kindergarten: Daisie’s girls club lays a foundation for a godly character with lessons on everything from believing to giving, and obeying to trusting. Characters woven throughout the curriculum make life application from the Bible stories and principles they learn.

1st–2nd grade: Prims girls learn biblical principles and object lessons during the class that makes learning even more fun! Curriculum topics include The Bible, Church, Community, Family, Kindness, etc.

3rd–5th grade: Stars Girls complete units on basic Christian doctrine, missions, activities, and character development. Memorization, projects, and Bible reading are all a part of the club’s options. Curriculum topics include: Fruit of the Spirit, Making the Right Choices, Personal Evangelism

Friends Club:  Provides discussion-oriented lessons to continue the Titus 2 principle of women mentoring young girls. Topics of study include the sanctity of life, accountability, commitment to Christ, life-controlling problems, purity, and choices. Units are made up of six lessons. Projects and adventures add to each unit. The completion of unit requirements and Bible reading make a girl eligible to be a Friends Graduate.

Tab Tots Nursery

Our Tab Tots Nursery is a safe, clean and fun environment where our little ones come to learn about the love of Jesus.  We provide child care on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour from 9-10 AM and during the Sunday morning service from 10 -11:45 AM.

We have the following classrooms for childcare on Sundays during service:

Infant and Crawlers in our Ocean themed classroom

2 and 3-year old’s in our Forest themed Classroom

Preschool 4-5 year old’s in our Africa Savanah Classroom

For our nursing moms, we have a wonderful room where live streaming of the service is available. Moms could enjoy the church service while caring for their infants. This room is well equipped with a bottle warming station as well as changing tables and comfortable gliders.  Adjacent to this room we also have a dimmed room for sleeping babies with baby monitors.

We strongly desire to share the love of Jesus through various activities which include: Bible reading, storytime, and crafts. Even during our snack time and free play time we have opportunities to continue conversations about what we learned in the Bible storytime.

Our desire is to serve the whole family and be a blessing by coming alongside parents as they raise their children in the Lord. To help parents out, we have provided a resource wall with books and materials on parenting that can be borrowed or purchased.

On Wednesday nights we offer a Preschool age 3-5 class called the Noah’s Ark Rainbow Club. We meet in the Family Life Center Room 203 from 7-8:15 PM. Nursery care is also provided for younger children on Wednesday nights in the Family Life Center
